Relief Method | Prints from the City of Fremantle Art Collection

Coinciding with the Fremantle Print Award supported by Little Creatures Brewing, Relief Method presents a diverse selection of prints from the City’s Collection. Relief printing is the oldest and most durable method of making prints, where the ink is transferred to a support by the raised parts of a prepared printing surface or block. Common relief print methods include wood and linocuts, engravings and collagraphs. Artists represented include Ray Arnold, Yvonne Boag, Billy Missi, Heather Shimmen and Alick Tipoti.

Noel Counihan, Hunger, 1959, linocut edition 15/50, 75 x 54 cm
