Many Truths utilises writer and contemporary painter Lottie Galvin’s love of language, colour, and boldness to create acrylic-based works that playfully challenge viewers and inspire positive cultural change.
She has a passion for representing women’s humanness and multifaceted natures, for supporting men in their embrace of mindful masculinity, and for exploring “seemingly-opposing” truths in all humans.
This debut exhibition is designed to spark meaningful conversations and bridge gaps with a knowing smile (sometimes a giggle), using a mixture of conceptual text-based pieces, abstracts, and line paintings – all of which have a lot to say whilst saying very little.
Lottie uses her art to investigate our natural feelings of difference, discomfort and uncertainty and how we’re traditionally taught to interact with them. She hopes that if we lean into these feelings rather than rejecting or projecting them, we can start to build healthier relationships with ourselves, each other, and the earth.

Lottie was born in England, with dual-citizenship and a passion for making art. She graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in English with Creative Writing from Brunel University, London, in 2012 and emigrated to her ‘true home’ in Walyalup (Fremantle) in 2020. Having been a creative writer since graduating, Lottie is now actively painting and combining her passions.
