Discover the vibrant art of enamelling! In this hands-on course, students will explore the process of fusing glass to metal, learning a variety of techniques to create unique and colourful surfaces. Develop essential enamelling skills such as sifting, stencilling, and mark-making while experimenting with texture, layering, and composition.
Perfect for those with some jewellery-making experience, this course will introduce a range of technical processes that bring metalwork to life with luminous colour. Students will have the opportunity to apply their skills to small jewellery pieces like pendants or earrings, guided by expert instruction.
Students Required to bring:
- Closed-toe shoes (for safety)
- Apron
- Additional materials will be discussed in the first class
Should you need, Bezel Ring Kits are available to purchase for $20 through reception at the Fremantle Arts Centre. These will be available throughout the term.
Prerequisites:
Completion of a beginners’ jewellery course is recommended.
